What Therapy Can Be

Therapy can be a place to pause. To notice. To just be for a while, without pressure or expectation. It can be a space to laugh, to grieve, to vent, to quietly make sense of things - and sometimes, in the same conversation, to rediscover what really matters to you. Not what anyone else says should matter, but what actually feels true, alive, and meaningful in your life.

With greater self-awareness comes possibility - Possibility for new choices, new ways of relating, new ways of living.

For me, therapy is a conversation between two people: you bring your life and experience; I bring curiosity, care, and a commitment to really seeing you. We might start with something small and find ourselves somewhere unexpected - sometimes hard and heavy, sometimes playful and light - but almost always exactly where you need to be. You are the expert on your own life.

How I Work

I'm a qualified Integrative Counsellor, trained in approaches including Person Centred and Existential therapy.

Therapy, for me, begins with the relationship.

Not a polished or clinical version of connection, but a warm, steady, human one. A relationship you don't have to manage, where you can arrive exactly as you are - uncertain, hopeful, tired, curious, guarded, open, or somewhere in between.

A lot of what makes life hard - trauma, loss, difficult relationships - lives in our connections with others. Because of that, it can only really be attended to relationally. That's where I come in: a steady, safe presence: offering a space where you can slow down enough to hear yourself, feel what's true, and bring forward the parts of you that may have been hidden or silenced. It's not about being "fixed" but about understanding more deeply who you are and living more fully.

My role isn't to direct you but to walk alongside you - witnessing, holding, noticing, and offering perspective when it helps. Together, we create a relationship that can open something in you - perhaps something small at first, but real - and from there your understanding deepens and genuine change becomes possible.

Who I Work With

I work with adults and young people (16+) seeking to understand themselves better, navigate challenges, and live in closer alignment with their values.

Taking the First Step

It can feel daunting to start therapy, looking honestly at your life and how you move through it. That's completely natural. And yet, it's often in that brave moment of curiosity and honesty that new possibilities emerge - ways of living that feel more real, more aligned with who you are.

We can start with a free introductory chat - online or by phone - so you can ask questions, get a sense of how I work, and see if it feels right for you.
